Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction is based upon the foundational work of Jon Kabat-Zinn, who has over 40 years of empirical data. Through walking a mindful path, participants develop increased focus, and learn strategies for stress reduction. Using evidence-based research and a scientific framework, MBSR guides individuals with practical steps to engage in their health and lifelong wellness.
Mindfulness Self-compassion
Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) can be learned by anyone. It’s the practice of repeatedly evoking goodwill toward ourselves especially when we’re suffering. Most of us feel compassion when a close friend is struggling. What would it be like to receive the same caring attention whenever you needed it most? All that’s required is a shift in the direction of our attention—recognizing that as a human being, you, too, are a worthy recipient of compassion.
MIDWEEK MINDFULNESS MEDITATION
Have you ever tried meditation and found it challenging? Do you hear about mindfulness and its benefits, but are not sure how to work it into your day-to-day?
Join Lisa Patterson Raterman, via Zoom, every Wednesday afternoon, for a 30-minute mindful pause.
Each week Lisa will guide you through a new exercise that you can include in your own wellness routine.

Self-compassion for HealthCAre Communites
Healthcare professionals will learn how to stop being so hard on themselves, handle difficult emotions with greater ease, and develop techniques and skills that sustain and nurture themselves while handling demanding situations with patients, colleagues, administration, and home life. Practices will be introduced to help ease the stress associated with burnout.
